About me
I have been painting traditional Ukrainian wood art also known as "Petrikovka" for over 12 years now. The Petrikovka style of painting originated in the in Ukraine in the early 1700's . It is recognized by it's beautiful floral patterns , which I reproduce on variety of mediums, each piece is one of a kind , with no two being identical.
My work has been featured in craft shows throughout the Ukraine , and has also been sold in Germany , Russia and many other Eastern European countries. I moved to Reno , NV . and married my husband in Dec. 2004 , and my work is now readily available to all who appreciate fine Ukrainian painting. Shortly after my arrival I was commissioned by Nevada Museum of Art to paint a wall mural of Russian church in conjunction with an exhibit of Russian icons that they were displaying. I have expanded my work to include hand painted Christmas ornaments , I produce a variety of different scenes on my ornaments from rustic cabins in a forest to beautiful renditions of Lake Tahoe.
I have also sold drawings of native North American wildlife that I did in fine pencil and have done portraits of people's personal pets in acrylic paint on beautiful wood boxes . I have also painted seascapes and marine animals on natural oyster shells that make you feel like you are at the ocean when you look upon them.
I hope that you enjoy my work as much as many other citizens around the world have. Please feel free to contact me at arttatyana@sbcglobal.net or at arttatyana1@narod.ru .You may also reach me at [775] 527-1927, my mailing address is 6125 Dutch Flat Rd.,
